Bipasha Basu is one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood. With her hourglass figure and charm she got into the hearts of millions of Bollywood fans across the world. She was the winner of the Ford's Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest for 1996 and is currently one of the mainstream actresses in Bollywood.

Bipasha was born on the 7th of January, 1979 in New Delhi, later moving with her family to Kolkata. She is the second of three sisters. The other two are Bidisha and Vijayeta.

She did her schooling at Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir and her college years were spent at Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society College.
